Jamaica Inn - Cornwall

This 1750's coaching Inn has been spooking people since the day it opened its doors, with tales of being used as a smugglers den and with several unsolved murders this inn is certainly got some unusual activity going on.

Berry Pomeroy Castle - Devon

The atmosphere this castle creates is enough to scare the average person, but its the spirits who linger here which give this place a special place on this list.

Athelhampton House - Dorset

There has been a structure on the site of this house for well over 1000 years, and it seems that this may be the reason why so many ghosts have built up and choose to linger in such a beautiful house.

Borley Rectory - Essex

A contender for the number 1 spot of the most haunted place in England, the ruins of this house are home to so many ghosts, but it belongs on the list because of how active they are and the mysteries behind them.

Ancient Ram Inn - Gloucestershire

The UK's most haunted pub and definitely the most well known haunted Inn, this is another contender for the number 1 spot and rightly so.

Woodchester Mansion- Gloucestershire

This isolated manor home has stood abandoned for many years and has obtained the look of a truly spooky building, but it isn't its looks which has earned it a place on the list.

Village of Pluckley - Kent

This isn't really a single location but an entire village. However it still belongs on the list as the whole village is said to be haunted, and by a lot of very active spirits. It wouldn't be the first time someone has visited the village just to drop everything and get the hell out of there.

Tower of London - London

The tower has to be the most well known haunted place in all the UK, which isn't a surprise due to its age and location. But it isn't its popularity which has earned it a place on the list.

Chillingham Castle - Northumberland

This is thought to be the most haunted castle in England and one of the most haunted in the UK. With a high number of active ghosts it rightly sits in the list.

Chingle hall - Preston

This is my personal favorite haunted location and one of the main reasons i started this website. The hall has many ghosts who aren't afraid to make themselves known. This is my personal favorite for the number one spot in the top ten most haunted places in England.
