The first time I slept over one of my friend's houses from school was when I was in 6th grade. I will never forget this experience. I am glad that the spirits in that house have been lifted and it doesn't feel so heavy.
When I arrived at my friend's house it was around 6 or 7 p.m. and the both of us were excited about it. She invited me in, introduced me to her family and we took my stuff to her room. All was well that night and we were having fun.
A couple hours went by and we decided to tell some ghost stories. We were talking and we had glow sticks, so we decided to play with them in the dark. Then she made the suggestion that we do Light As A Feather, Stiff As A Board. So I said ok. I knew what that was too. But I thought it might not work because it was just me and her, I was wrong.
I put two fingers under her arm and two fingers under her leg and we both chanted "Light As A Feather, Stiff As A Board". I felt her get lighter and when I opened my eyes she was about 2 inches off the floor. So I kind of freaked out and she dropped. I was shocked and thought that was cool. So we started talking about more stuff and since she had already been to my house she knew about the little girl who haunted it. So I had an idea.
We set the glow sticks all around us on her bed and I said put your hand over mine and close your eyes. I explained that maybe if we let our minds go blank we could dream of the same thing. So she said ok. We sat there for about twenty minutes and when the trance was broken we explained our dreams. They both took place in the same place, they both had something odd happen, they both had something to do with the little girl and they both has the little girl in them. We were shocked about this but kind of like: COOL! And we talked more about the ghosts and the ones in her house that have been freaking out her pets. We listened to music for a couple hours and then we decided to go to bed. It was around 3:00 a.m. when we fell asleep.
Not too long after we went to sleep something weird happened. Her bed was up against the wall and she was laying on the
side that was on the wall and I was laying on the side where her side table was. I was laying there and my arm was falling off the bed and I felt something pick it up. At first I thought it might be her mom but then I started to be dragged. I opened my eyes and I saw a black shadow in the figure of a tall man and I pulled my arm back and turned over to my other side. It seemed to have gotten mad so I heard a growl and the bed shook. When I looked back it was gone. Then I fell back asleep.
The next morning I told her about it and I had remember the night before she told me there was a spirit under her bed that had dragged her underneath when she was doing push-ups with her feet facing the bed. So I asked her if she heard a growl and she said yeah. She also said she felt the bed shake and thought that I got up to go to the bathroom or something. But I said no I think it was that thing. So she said most likely.
About a year later when the new school year started she told me about a little girl talking to her at 3:00 a.m. She told me that the little girl said the bad man tried to get her. And my friend would say: tried to get who? She replied: That girl. She was sleeping and he tried to get her. She wouldn't let him though. My friend said she was talking about me. I was a little spooked and let it go for a little while.
The next time I asked about the little girl my friend had told me that she wasn't around anymore. She told me that she was talking to her and she said: The bad man won't hurt you anymore. He's gone now. That light looks really pretty though. My friend told her: Yeah it is. Go on, you can leave. You'll be happier. She said: Ok. Bye. My friend said: Bye. And she was gone.
I believe in life after death and souls will go either way (up or down) but sometimes they get trapped or lost on their way there so they stay here on Earth. Whether or not they're good and want to help, they will still be here. We just have to deal with them in a racional way and maybe they'll be lifted so they will be happier. All they want is to rest in peace.
