A weiry old truck driver haunts the Dumfries Scales......


The Scalehouse opened in 1965, A variety of people have passed through this weigh station but a few never left. A driver came in complaining of chest pains and grabbing his chest, collapsed on the floor dead from a heart attack. The Agents who work there today can still hear his foot steps climbing the steel spiral staircase. They can also hear the door close, they go to see who has just came in and no one is there... Channel 5 news interviewed some of the State Employees and aired the show on tv over 15 years ago.

I don't believe Ghosts can leave there death place until they fulfill there original task
here on earth, our Ghosts still prowels the
halls, in search of something he can never acheive. (Peace) I started working here in 1985 and still haven't found peace either:(
