I would say I was about 21 or 22 when my best friend was killed in a car accident. He and I were so close and lived in the same town I couldn't bare to live there because of all the memories it would have been hard on me. So I packed up and went to live with another friend. That same night my friends did whatever they could to try to cheer me up, that included having a party. There was a lot of commotion down the hall and they called me to show me something hysterical. But as I turned around to walk away I was stopped by a figure standing in front of me. The height and build was identical to my best friend who had just passed away that same morning. I was so shocked that the only thing out of my mouth was a scream and he disappeared. My friends asked why I screamed and all I could say was "I just saw Mark". They comforted me as I cried and one of my friends said "He wanted to let you know that he was okay and that he will always be watching over you".
About a week later I started to hear this beeping like a cellphone beeping letting you know that you have a message of some sort. I checked my current cellphone at that time and there was no message on that one. I than found my previous cellphone. Well, I looked at the screen and it indicated that I had one voice mail. I found this weird because I didn't have any missed calls or anything because the phone was shut off. I checked it and I got the shock of my life when I heard my best friends voice saying "Hey it's Mark. I just wanted to let you know that you don't have to cry anymore I am doing fine. I will always be watching over you. I love you" I dropped the phone and started to cry. My one friend was right. I will never forget these two events. They have been with me for the past 7-8yrs and continue to be. He will always be around me no matter where I am in my life.
