I have never been to the haunted witch tree in Mendon Utah, but I have heard of others going there. I guess there was a lady who was accused of witchcraft and was lured into the mountains of Mendon. She was then tied to a tree, and before being torched she cursed the land, and the tree she was tied to.
The tree to this day stands alone with a fence around it. Nothing else is there. No sounds of birds or animals, no other trees or plants. Just an eerie silence.
It is told that if you enter into the fence crazy things start happening.
I went there with some family and three of us ventured over the fence and touched the tree. There was some twine hanging from a branch that was tangled in some dead limbs that I untangled. I also took a picture of the tree and not even 3 minutes later the battery in my phone died. I had 35% battery left when I took the picture. I showed no disrespect to the area and I never took any thing from the area as a momento other than the picture. I guess we will see how things play out from here on out.

I have lived in mendon my whole life and that's bs. There are animals all over the place noises and all that I have been in that fence multiple times and nothing has happened. The tree is up the cold water road just passed the second cattle guard.
