Hanford The Old Asylum on Irwin St

The ghost is rumored to be a nurse who will come out to the porch and admonish you to leave. The ghost of the head nurse can be seen pacing on the front porch. If you sit on the front steps she will come out and talk to you and then ask you to leave. There is no power going into the house but a white light can be seen thru the front window and a red light thru the back porch window (these windows are not aligned so it is not the same light).

I grew up in Visalia and I remember going ghost gusting there as a teen and seeing the lights. It was creepy as all get up. It have a creepy vibe too. Never saw a ghost but it didn’t feel right there. Just saying.

I know of this place and it was one of my favorite haunts growing up. My father would take my sister and I ghost hunting and this house in particular was one of our go-to's. Can testify that we ourselves have seen the lights, and also heard the stories of the nurse who paces the porch. There was an evening where we sat in the car and stared at the house and saw what looked like a person in the upstairs bedroom. One day we walked up to the front door and heard what sounded like was someone unlocking it and turning the knob and we ran off immediately in shock and didn't want to know what would happen next. We can very well say this place is haunted and legitimate.

I lived in Hanford and used to sit in front of this house with my Daughters for hours. We did this off and on for a period of 5 years (till they grew up). Both lights are as described. We’ve never seen a single person or vehicle at this house no matter the time of day. We’ve knocked on the door at all hours and never and answer. Without a doubt there is something strange about this place. Can’t confirm the Supernatural but way, way, creepy!

Well, I am wondering why I haven't seen one person's comment on any of the stories other than the person's story. Sorry, but that sounds a little fishy to me. I'm not sure this Haunted Hovel site is legit.
