Story has it, that many religious ceremonies used to occur here involving satanic groups.
Also, it's where a small village used to be, however, the homes were all wrecked years ago.
Now only the buildings remain. If you park your car in the "circle" at the end of the street, and walk down past the fence and into the woods and continue down the trail, the air just does not feel right.
You will start to see things moving that aren't animals, and hear faint whispering.
If you leave your car, and then look back in the direction where it was parked, you will see what looks like a flashlight and someone examining the area. Yet once you approach, this image will be gone.
There is the spirit of an older woman with longer hair that has been spotted by several people in the area at around midnight.
Be careful though, as the beginning of the street is still home to some families, and that the police will show up if they know someone is tresspassing.
My friend and I came here tonight at around 10pm and used a ouija board. We drove to the circle at the end of the road and turned the car off, we sat for a few minutes just looking outside the car windows at the woods surrounding the area. It was extremely foggy outside and dark, the windows of my friends car quickly fogged up as we were parked. We got out of the car and set the ouija board up on the hood of her car along with candles and salt surrounding us. My friend asked a few questions and we got no response. She then asked me to ask a question and as I was trying to think of something to say I was staring behind her at the woods. As I was about to ask a question I heard four footsteps that sounded like someone was running at me from behind me, it sounded like it wasn’t even 30 feet away from me. The scary thing was, my friend didn’t hear it, and it was LOUD!!!! After we said goodbye to the board we decided to walk the trail, we walked for about 15 minutes before we saw fresh foot prints in the mud, that weren’t ours. We both had a gut feeling that we weren’t alone on that trail and decided to head back to our car. The minute we got off of the trail we started to hear people talking, along with a few whistles. If you’re going to come here make sure you’re in a group.

Myself and two others went to this road last night Nov 1st at about 11:15 p.m. We turned down the road going about 15 mph with the windows rolled down. We kept going and other the train tracks we went. So, we finally reached the roundabout and parked (leaving the lights off). As we got out and started walking down the path we at first heard animal sounds (like a coyote) after hearing this sound, we heard something like voices coming from people. Well, we kept going because you know whatever. So we continued down the trail after going past the gate. Ok, so we were not seeing much, until, UNTIL we saw a man. Now, at first I was thinking it was a real person, but one of my friends was telling me it had to be a ghost (now I am religious and don’t believe in ghosts) but I may now think differently. My friend said " hello" at least three times and no response. After trying to say hello my friend and I saw his eyes. At that point we decided to flash the flashlight towards him. Well, he turned away. So dumb us decided to keep walking. Now, we are at least 10 ft away from where we were. Well, now we looked down the path and saw an upside down cross. At this point we said screw it and got out of there. Now we are headed back to the car in fright and fear. As we finally got back to the car we jumped in and then THE CAR WOULD NOT START. Here we are freaking out and screaming about what we should do. Now we are FaceTiming and texting people to come help. Thankfully, our friends came and helped start our car. As soon as our car turned on we were out of there. THIS IS A TRUE STORY. As I mentioned I am religious and never have really believed in this kind of stuff but, I don’t know now.

I was just there tonight with 3 friends. I'm known as the friend who can see and hear things that no one else can BUT when I do I hyperventilate and stop dead in my tracks, I go quite. That happened tonight when we went. I'm a paranoid person in general and have been there a couple times before but I've never gotten out of the car. But I did this time and I held onto my friends jacket. While walking I heard something and when I looked up there was a white figure standing next to a tree. My friends couldn't see it but I could.

I've been to Ware road a few times and have never seen anything in or around the trails, rails, woods, or foundations in the woods. The people I was with used a fair amount of alcohol and drugs and still nothing was ever seen or heard. I never even knew people claimed it was haunted until around a decade after having been there. My friends and I thought (because of the old foundations and proximity to rails)that the area was the remnants of old Andersonville.
I just looked it up on Wikipedia:
Andersonville, first known as the "Husted Settlement" after the Hustead family who moved there in 1833, is at 42°43′48″N 83°29′33″W[4] around the junction of Andersonville and Big Lake roads. It became known as the "Anderson Settlement" after the Anderson family purchased 120 acres (0.49 km2) and settled there in 1836. A post office named "Andersonville" was established in 1895, which operated until 1912. It was a station on the Detroit and Milwaukee Railway.[5] The same track is still in use by Canadian National for freight service.[6]

We have went there for the past week each at different times 1am 2am 3am and 4am each time we went we stayed for at least 2 hours haven't really seen anything yet you can hear things in the woods but once you remain quiet you can't hear anything. I haven't found the houses that people say the basements of them are still there. We went everywhere around there and could not find any old houses. Only kind of scary thing if you wanna call it scary as soon as we got back to the end of the trail we heard a train so started running back to the car and we seen a train cross the tracks didn't see anything behind us or anything. But definitely is not trespassing is someone knows the exact location of the houses that are back there please let me know

Do NOT waste your time going here. My friends and I came here a little before midnight to see if all the rumors were true and most of us were disappointed. We had a couple paranoid people in the group so of course they got scared but literally nothing happened. We parked at the circle drive and we walked around and then we went to the nature trail. The further we went down the trail, the more it started turning into a swamp, so we started walking back. We thought that maybe we were too loud to hear anything if it was haunted so we all went silent. The fog and the woods is enough to give an eerie, unsettling feeling but I listened and looked and all I could hear was frogs croaking and all I could see was lightning bugs. When we got back to the circle drive, we looked down the road to see if anything was suspicious there, sure enough a couple of my friends thought they saw something so I started walking down to the railroad tracks and they followed. They were probably just seeing things in the dark. As we were taking group pictures on the railroad tracks we saw a car start coming down to the road so we jumped in the bushes by the railroad tracks as soon as we could. It was a normal looking white SUV, until we saw that it had a flashlight/spotlight. It was examining the area as the story said. So it definitely wasn't an image, it was a vehicle. We thought it was sketchy that someone was examining the area. I assume they were looking for people like us, messing around to see if the place is haunted. We stayed in the bushes because we were a little freaked out and I'm assuming the white car was in the circle drive when we heard this really loud siren. It had an angry, scary tone and lasted for about five seconds. We saw the vehicle coming back up the road and we waited for it to cross the railroad tracks and leave. We were paranoid to go back to the car or leave because we think that the white SUV might've been undercover cops. I drove down Ware road with my headlights off to avoid detection (perfect time for some scary shit to happen, right?) and again, nothing happened. Once I got to the end of the road back to Andersonville, I turned my headlights on and we left. Long story short- it was total bullshit.

I was one of the 4 kids that rode our bikes to ware rd. I was the only one that saw the ghost of the old lady. I came up the cellar stairs and turned and looked in the window. I saw an old lady stand up and turn away from the window. we were also there once after we had been there about a dozen times and we noticed a big barn in the field between the tracks and where the circle drive is. we had never seen it before so we went over and checked it out. we went inside, messed with the stuff inside, nothing interesting. but than we went back 24 hours later and the whole thing was gone. no foundation, no debris, nothing. no one ever believes this story but its true.

Last night my friends and i , mind you we are 15, 21, 26, and 27. Anyway we decided to go back to ware road, hearing stories about it, and past experiences. We took our Ouija board, and went back to the road. We parked our car, in the circle area, right at the end of the road, three of us took the Ouija board, and started to walk out in the woods, we sat down right after the fence, we lite the candles, and introduced ourselves, we asked how many spirits were with us, and if there were any spirits at all, the board told us there were 4 spirits. We asked if it knew any of us, it said yes. And then Suddenly it went crazy, and spelled my name, 7 letters, out in about 5 seconds, over and over again. After realizing it was spelling my name, it went to a dead stop.. we asked for a name, or the first letter of there name of the spirit. Nobody in my group knowing that i had a friend, who passed away in 09. her name being Kayla. The board sent us to the letter "K" i had no idea, who it was talking about, so we asked for the year the spirit passed away, and it said 09, i freaked thinking about my friend.. We went to say Good bye to the spirits and the board, and my friend facing the car, looked up, and seen a shadow with a light infront of it.. she blinked and said "oh my god" and it was gone. Nobody else seen it. We decided to leave, and looking back someone pointed out that there was a circle shaped light back in the circle area... Meanless to say, ill go back. . .

Some of my friends and i decided to take a road trip down to Ware Rd. a little before midnight after hearing all these stories from our own friends. We drove down the entire road and over the train tracks at 10 mph with our windows down. We got down to the roundabout and I took my car blocked the other one in at the end of the road and turned it off. I got out of the car went to talk to the others was then threatened to get knocked out, got back in my own car. We looked back down the road and saw red lights flickering and it looked like a train was coming. Needless to say I turned my car on and hit the gas all the way down the road. Got to the tracks saw no train, so i kept going, got the end of the road and my friend almost rear ended me because everybody in their car saw an older girl with long blonde/gray hair running at them in a red flannel robe. I peeled out followed closely by my friend (almost getting hit again) and since my car didn't know about the girl we turned back onto the road ready to go back down. Thats when we got a call, as i was answering it my friend just pointed down the road. We looked up and saw an older girl in a red robe walking down the road. The walk turned into a run and then she jumped in the woods. All this happened no more than 50 yards from us. I never hear a word from the other car on the phone. It died. Needless to say i whipped out of there and covered 15 miles home in 10 minutes. Never going back down there again.

There use to be a whole family that lived at the end of Ware rd. Garandparents and thier kids and grand kids. There were 3 or 4 houses and a small horse barn. The Grandma died in the house on ware rd. Around the same time of the grandma passing the rest of her family moved from the rd. All but the grandparents house were bull dozed when the family left the rd. One summer back in 93-95 myself and 3 freinds took a bike ride down Ware rd and entered the abanded home to explore. The home had a cellar so we had to check it out. There was nothing down there but a bunch of old newspapers tucked in a cubby. When we were walking up the stairs carrying bails of 1950s newspapers I looked into the window of the home and saw a old lady rocking back and forth in a rocking chair. My friends saw the same thing and we froze for a second looking right at the GHOST before running to our bikes and booking it out of there. We gathered the rest of our friends and went back the next day to see if we could get a look at the ghost but never saw it again. The house was plowed the same summer. We hung out down Ware rd all the way untill highschool and have told the ghost story to tons of people. I met one of the grandkids later on in life and she confirmed her grandma had a rocker and was in it everyday when she was a kid. She also told me a story of one the horses drownding in the pond back there. The pond has since been filled in. Im glad to see our story is still being told.

What I heard was that there used to be a house back there before it was a nature trail and a little girl was once playing by the rail road tracks and was hit by a train.
I also heard that a man went insane and killed his family then killed himself. I used to go there all the time when I was bored. there was this one time I was with a couple of my friends around winter time and as soon as I turned off the car the windows all fogged up and as my friends and I were wiping down the windows we seen foot tracks coming up to the car. another time I went down there just sat there for a few minutes or so and I looked through my rear view mirror and it looked like something passed behind my car. of course that last one was probably just my eyes playing tricks on me lol and it didnt help my friend was freaking out.
my friend had another story as well. one times her and her friends went there and as they were heading back they got stopped by a train and one of them decided to use there phone to take a picture outside and after they took a picture they looked at it and it was like a reflection of everything in the car.

This is crap. I've spent a lot of time on Ware road for its nature trails and I've never experienced any such things as described here. People only think it's creepy because it's in the woods. I'll never understand why people are so afraid of woods.
