Bemidji-Sanitarium

There is an old sanitarium on the north end of lake julia that is believed to be haunted.


It housed children with terbiculosis and also served as a nursing home.

There is a graveyard that is part of the property that is also said to be haunted by two patients, they are a couple who died and were buried there.

I've been in here and taken pictures, long story short it IS haunted. I have orbs and images on pictures, we head screams, seen the doc in the basement standing over a patient, not clear just a white fog but clear enough to see what was going on. One person felt someone grab his shoulder and left finger bruises, no one there when he looked. No electricity but you could hear the elevator moving, one room upstairs had 3" water on floor, stopped at door. Freaky but fun

I lived at el Rancho Fernaldo for a couple years deffinetly creepy and had alot of activity not only inside the main building but more activity on the actually property and the other buildings especially a white house about 3min walk in the back I think.its right after the barn but also encountered a wendigo once...

El rancho fernaldo and the sanitarium are two different places. Both creepy. I found some weird stuff at el ranco. I also had some strang feelings in the sanitarium top floor last room on the left

I'm a student at BSU and me and some friends spent months looking for the place, there is no listed address, but if you can take irvine then take a left on 27 and then it's either the second or third left, it may be gated off tho but it's pretty easy to just walk around it

Me and a few friends visited the tb sanitarium this last Halloween night we got I through the neighbors driveway thankfully they weren't home. But we for through fine no dogs or anything like rumors had said we walked right up the front steps and had flashlights. We took some pictures that didnt turn out and we were also hearing noises from inside we didnt go inside not enough time but multiple people talked about seeing a lady dressed in black. We thought maybe a nurse we saw standing down by the lake that's when we took off didn't want to stay any longer. But I would love to go back and see
It again maybe with a bigger group.

its creepy ive only found one pic of the second floor in the front of the building its like a porch but closed in its an old pic it was full of hospitol beds but if you go to the second floor go all the way to the left down the haul to the last room it has a weird feeling i would like info on the place right outside of bemidji though el rancho fernaldo i belive its called
