I live about two hours from Alton. But there are story's that I know, especially about my family history... My great grandfather on my fathers side was a town official and when he died they flew the town flags at half mast.. And It is said that if you go to his old house you can feel him breathing behind you and hear his foot steeps... And doors will slam shut. I have not been to these places. My dad doesn't want me going to them he feels that I'll get to involved and something bad will happen to me
